Antique Gem-Set Cluster Ring

A really lovely Georgian cluster ring set centrally with a sapphire surrounded by bright chrysoberyls and pretty pink garnets in yellow gold. A classic Georgian style mount with a later Victorian shank which has been beautifully decorated and adds a lovely ornateness to the piece.  Its not uncommon to see Georgian jewellery adapted as fashion's and styles changed, in fact you could say they were the original up-cyclers. 

This little capsule of history is hundreds of years old and needs to be treated with care.  The mount is in good condition and the gemstones are secure however the band is thin and commensurate with its age. We would suggest this ring is not worn as an everyday piece and is reserved for special events and occasions.  

The mount measures 1.1cm by 1.1cm and is finger size M.
