This is a lovely Victorian pendant set with a deep vivid amethyst set in a gold collet setting. It was originally part of a much larger piece of jewellery and has been converted in the early 1900’s into a necklace by adding a fine yellow gold chain.
Amethysts are such a popular gem because of their gorgeous colour and are the birthstone for February.
